Biography

My path to becoming a strength coach and kinesiologist is perhaps a little different from that of many others in the field. I had a very active childhood in my hometown of Winnipeg, but I didn’t develop a conventional sporting background. After dabbling in a variety of sports and physical hobbies, I gravitated towards skateboarding in my teens. It provided me with an exceptionally challenging physical endeavour that kept me active, creative, and enriched my life with unique friendships into my adult years.

After a period of inactivity and dissatisfaction with my physical wellbeing, I discovered resistance training as a new physical challenge. This developed into an intense intellectual pursuit in the science of performance and exercise. After many years of self-learning, my interest in science and the practical application of research led me to pursue formal education in the field.

I graduated with a Diploma in Exercise Science from Lethbridge College in 2020 and earned a BSc in Kinesiology with Great Distinction from the University of Lethbridge in 2024. I am currently a Professional Kinesiologist with the Alberta Kinesiology Association as well as a CSEP-certified CPT and High Performance Specialist. I am also fortunate to have been given the opportunity to coach the strength and conditioning program for the cross-country and indoor track teams at Lethbridge College, which I have been doing since 2020.

With a newfound interest in rehabilitation and my background in exercise and sport science, it is my goal to help the people I work with feel better and perform at their best, whatever that may look like for them.
