Biography

I graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2021 with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology with Great Distinction. I had the privilege to manage athletic injuries and provide taping to university athletes in track and field as well as swimming as a student athletic trainer during my undergrad. In 2024, I earned my Master’s degree in Physical Therapy at the University of Alberta.

I have a deep-rooted passion for strength training. I obtained my CSEP-CPT and high-performance certification and worked as a personal trainer and strength coach for 2 years prior to my schooling as a physiotherapist. I also have been invested in training and competing in the IPF for powerlifting (squat, bench, deadlift) since 2019.

My love of physiotherapy began when I was young, as I played several sports such as football, basketball, and rugby, and unfortunately dealt with many injuries. The most notable were a PCL injury, sprained and broken ankles, and a broken hip.

Physiotherapists have been essential in allowing me to get back to the sports I love and enjoy being physically active. Physiotherapy has always been my dream job as I have wanted to give back to others the same support that was offered to me in my youth.

I enjoy assisting individuals with all types of musculoskeletal injuries to return to activities they enjoy most. I have a particular interest in hands and am striving to improve my knowledge in this specialty as hands have a large impact on an individual’s daily life.

In my free time I enjoy powerlifting, snowboarding, bouldering, golfing, biking, and playing the occasional pickleball or badminton. I enjoy spending time outdoors hiking and rafting with my wife, and our daughter Laia.
